Going to Disneyland Today!
Today I'm going to Disneyland with my husband, who hasn't been there in 12 years! In honor of the occasion I made Mickey Mouse pancakes. Not only that, they were "Wonderland Pancakes" from the Mickey Mouse Cookbook that I've had ever since I was a little kid! It was the first time I can remember ever making pancakes from scratch (my memory is getting bad so who really knows), but I am quite confident it was the first time making peanut butter pancakes. Thanks Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, they were great! I didn't have the official cherry or piece of pineapple for Mickey's nose and mouth so I improvised with a peanut for a nose and whipped cream for the mouth. This isn't Disney related, but when I took this picture I was in the process of making my own syrup (also a first for me). 45 minutes later, it was finally to a syrupy consistency and was so worth the wait! Another cookbook from a childhood hero gave me that recipe. It was the sauce for the blueberry pudding in the Little House Cookbook! I don't know if I'll ever buy syrup again.
Here's to another Minnie Adventure, it's going to be a beautiful day!

Yep, its at Disneyland
The old Motor Boat Cruise area. It is truly beautiful.
I can remember riding that ride. It always kind of scared me because you couldn't see that the boats were on a track, so I truly thought that I was really steering....I guess that is the whole point, huh. I was also afraid that I would "hit the dock" when I was done. And YES, that is Small World in the back through the trees.

Magical Fall stuff
A ride with Steve on the fire engine. During our annual pass year, most of the time you could see Steve driving the fire engine. One time I had gone two days in a row, and on both days hopped on board for a ride. On my second day, I told Steve that I was here yesterday, his quick reply was, "So was I" Which of course gave us a good giggle. He also told us that he has worked there for 38 years. He is a great asset to the park and brings magic to every trip.

And now introducing!
Minnie Minutes!
A fun way to show you videos of the park a minute at a time.
This first video is a dedication to a beautiful area in the Disneyland Resort that I wish I had more memories of since its no longer there. :(
So I present to you today's Minnie Minute:
The waterfalls at the Disneyland Hotel.
I'm glad I was able to see them one more time earlier this year, it was such a pretty area.
And thanks to Ben for taking these videos, and to Bach for writing such a pretty song. teehee

Withdrawals
Its been over a week since my pass has expired and I think I'm going through some Disneyland withdrawals...
Just look what I found in the sink last night.
The goodies from Nora's last trip.
Looks like fun was had by all, and some fun even got brought home. The orange Mickey deal is a shopping bag. He has a cute expression. One story that I heard that happened was, Ben was talking to a Cast Member about it being his sister's birthday tomorrow, this Cast Member fixed up a Happy Birthday pin for him to give to her. Now the amazing part you see it is is 12am. So she puts her pin on, and is wished Happy Birthday about 7 times in the last hour of the Parks opening. But it is the first hour of her Birthday. It was a fun memory.

The Spirit of America
The Spirit of Tomorrow
(Nicki)
In the new Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, in the lobby where you wait to see the show, they have a wall of about 12 statues that represent the different "Spirits of America" that helped build our country. It is a great thing to do, to look at this wall, and see how you too, have helped build America. Check it out next time you are there to see which one you are.

Transitions
When you think about Disneyland and its many different areas, you come to the realization that there has to be what I would call, "Transitions". Having the annual pass last year made me look for these areas. This photo started it all, this is the River Belle resturant between Frontierland, and New Orleans Square. Look at the wooden rail fence half way across the dining area, then how if changed to the wrought iron. This soon became a self imposed scavengers hunt. Have fun looking for your own.

A pretty drinking fountain – also in New Orleans Square
Pretty snacks in the bakery in Pooh’s Corner which is waaay in the back of Critter Country.
And a pretty waterfall right outside of the bakery.
A very pretty Castle.
Some more than pretty tulips!
And last but not least! A pretty little Minnie greeting all her guests.
